Target in the Sun!

I had to go to Target to pick up small tension rods to lower the clothes in Aaron's closet so he can pick out his own shirt in the morning and have access to every shirt.
I don't usually go to Target and it's a small drive to get there so I figured we should stay longer and make the most of the trip. I'm not a shopper these days so I didn't want to buy anything - but I came up with something more fun for us to do! I think Aaron enjoyed it more than Audrey, but I know she'll get into it one day.

On our drive home, it was soooooooooooo gorgeous! We opted to have a picnic outside.
Audrey was tired and her initial reaction to the grass was dislike ... to say the least.
She eventually warmed up to it though ;)

Dear warm weather, please don't ever leave! I love getting "flowers" from my son to put behind my ear!

Because Some Things Are Too Cute Not To Share

Audrey and her friend Tanner. She is almost 3 months older than he is ...
Apparently she is already going in for the kiss :)

Audrey is always happy to see me when she wakes up :) She's getting close to standing in the crib so we'll have to lower it soon. And Aaron did a St. Patrick's Day craft with me! Thumb tacks on foam.

Sometimes, when we refuse to nap, this is what happens...
Aaron also wanted to try on Daddy's boots and loves to watch the rain eating asparagus with Mama!

Audrey cut her first tooth this last week! Huzzah!
She is such a Daddy's girl!

And here are two cute videos. One is of Audrey feeding herself (something we just introduced the night before) and saying Dada. The other is Aaron saying he needs a "bear" ... at least, I hope that's what he means ... and tells a story from The Croods.

The Beach!

We love the beach and we don't go nearly as often as we should!
Yesterday was gorgeous. I got lots of yard work done and taught Aaron how to ride his tricycle!

With how amazing of a day it was, I decided (and convinced Eric) that we should go to the beach. All excited, I woke up to rain! What? How rude! Eric could see how much I still wanted to go to the beach, so he took the initiative and started getting the kids ready! We ran to the store for supplies, picked up lunch, and headed on our way! It was chilly and the water level was high - it came all the way up to our cave - but it was a blast! Aaron was so excited about building a castle (though everytime we upturned a bucket to make a tier for our castle he would jump on it...) and having a cave (like The Croods)

Aaron and I had fun drawing pictures in the sand!

Aaron kept telling me he was going to save me and would pull my leg or my hand to get me to safety ;)

Audrey really liked the sand and made a pout everytime I wouldn't let her eat it...

Aaron said he was Eep (The Croods) as he climbed the walls of the cave.
Again with the sad face because I caught her crawling to go eat more sand...

I love how both kids are doing the same thing...

It was so windy the smoke blew everywhere! It even blew one of our blankets directly onto the fire!
Don't worry, we are parents and out of necessity have quick reflexes ... we saved the blanket.

When we got home we all got cleaned up. Aaron loves to go back in the shower with his towel and put his leg up on the ledge to get dry ... just like Mama and Daddy do.
