Birthdays!!!

We had 2 birthdays this weekend. Aaron's 1 month and my 22 year.

My birthday was a lot of fun. I got a lot of great gifts... A blueray dvd player from my parents and a food processor from Eric's parents. Eric got me a TON of wonderful presents: A steering wheel cover for my car, 2 new shirts, Galaxy Quest (blueray), Sahara (blueray), You've Got Mail (blueray), Megamind (blueray), and a swimsuit. To find that swimsuit, Eric went shopping with me Friday night (where we saw Mater) and for 3 hours on Saturday. We didn't find anything... even after going to 2 malls! So he helped me pick out one to order online. It should be here soon.

For my birthday dinner, I wanted hamburgers, but I wanted to make things interesting... so I fried the onions in mustard and ranch (SO GOOD!) and decided we were not going to use buns. :D

 After dinner we went to the duck pond, picked out ice cream from the creamery, and watched Galaxy Quest. It was a great day.

Tow-Mater!

Eric and I were out looking for a swimsuit for my birthday and we happened across Mater! He must have been out shopping too! Hope he had better luck finding a swimsuit than I did. :)

Aaron's Baby Blessing

We blessed Aaron almost 2 weeks ago! It is crazy to think how long he has been a part of our family!  Eric gave a very sweet and special blessing.

When Stephanie asked me a few days ago to do this post I started trying to think of a song that explains how I am feeling at this stage in my life. Obviously my life has been turned upside down recently with the addition of Aaron (Charley).  I used to teach Ballroom Dance but I feel that that is no longer my vocation – that I need to simply focus on my family. My husband is almost through with school and we will be moving to Oregon in April… my life seems kind of crazy right now!

And yet everything is so right!  I couldn’t be happier. I feel like right now, my life is complete.  Everything is falling in line for me. That’s why this song fits so well. I found my happily ever after – it isn’t an ending, but a beginning.

My Little Redhead

Aaron is almost 1 month old and has developed red hair!!!

He started out Blond... we'll have to see what color pops up next.

This first video is before Aaron was 2 weeks old. 

He has since learned to dig his feet into the ground and 

can scoot without our hands though his progress is much slower.

This second one is from a few nights ago. 

He smiles like this frequently without coaxing, but needed coaxing for the video.

A Trip to Lagoon!

This year for my  Dad's work party we were able to go to Lagoon again! We had so much fun!

 One of my favorite rides is called the Space Scrambler. 

When I was younger I named it the "Garbage Can"... not sure why.

 Keep an eye out for more "angry" pictures of Thomas... they are his favorite.

This is the contraption my Dad rigged so we didn't have to carry anything!

Eric and I decided we needed a break from riding rides.

After feeding Aaron, Eric decided he wanted to lie down for a little while.

These crazy kids decided to get in the water at 9pm!

 I should have followed my parents to the Merry-Go-Round...

I would have been more dry that way.
