A July Smorgasbord of Photos

They make their own sandwiches - score!
(We have an actual table now, promise!)
One night when the kids were going to bed, Audrey threw her arms around Aaron's waist and declared she did not want him to go! No matter what we tried, she would not release him. So, I suggested they start thinking of all the fun things that they can do tomorrow. The ideas started flowing out of Aaron's mouth, all excitedly received by Audrey. Cars, princesses, dress ups... For today, the possibilities are endless. They both went to bed easily, dreaming of the adventures to be had. Remembering their promises, they both went upstairs playing cars and dress up the next morning - and I love it!

Babies are her favorite - and it's ridiculously adorable!

When we were working on moving in, Aaron saw me carrying bookshelves up the stairs. He said, "Mama, that would be a lot easier if you have Daddy help you. Maybe you should wait for Daddy to get home." -- story of my life.

He climbed the trellis ... he is now fully aware that this is not an activity that is condoned ... it is condemned! This monkey needs to stop freaking his mama out!
While Aaron was gone at cousin camp, the girls and I went on a super long shopping spree getting things for our new home. Clearly, they were tired at the end ...
We went out to lunch with Daddy while Aaron was at cousin camp.
We love surprising Daddy at work with treats ... this time the girls made him share... haha.

Playmags - they could play for hours ... and they are so creative!
We have a field next to our house and the kids love it.
I love when they all play together nicely!

So glad I had help painting my craftroom! Thanks Sister Hudson and Sister Berry! Cutest painting crew this side of the Mississippi!

So ready, so willing

"Aaron, will you help me?
"Of course!"

Cousins Swim

Given how keeping an eye on multiple kiddos when one is so young is difficult, I do not take my kids swimming during the day. So when Kelsey said their club has a pool and invited us to join in, we readily agreed. My kids LOVE their cousins, so it was a double win!

Audrey currently doesn't have the ab muscles to hold herself vertically in the water, so I tried to help but ended up simply spinning her in circles, which she loved! (She is smiling, not screaming ... despite how it looks.)
Since I haven't a clue how to fload (I have never gotten it right, Kelsey hopped in to try and help Audrey (and Aaron) learn.
Once we took Audrey out of the oversized life jacket and put her in the flotation device I brought for Adelynn, she no longer had any problems.
Aaron has insane abs and had no trouble staying afloat.
Kelsey and I mostly sat on the side with Adelynn. I have discovered that Adelynn loves ice chips! As in she will sit, content, and not even consider getting up, as long as she has ice left in her cup.
I will use this in the future, for sure!

Thanks for inviting us along!

Adelynn Unchained

Brother and Sister slept in longer than Adelynn (hence she's not dressed) and so she had her pick of the toys! I love watching her play and come alive!

I took a video of it ...it's 16 minutes long... but then I sped the video up for those who don't want to watch something that long. It's pretty hysterical sped up! Even if you watch the long one, I definitely recommend watching the short one, too.
- Babies -
Bald or hair,
big or small...
We don't care,
we love them all!
Adelynn also LOVES dress ups. When sister isn't around, she loves to select hats, frilly skirts, and fairy wings. Often, one pair of wings isn't enough :)
